Kelowna, B.C.: The much-awaited Ski Canada Awards have just been announced and again, this year Big White Ski Resort has done extremely well in several key categories, including: Best Tree Skiing, Best Powder, and Best Corduroy. Indeed, Big White's vast terrain and variety of runs makes it the "Best Place to Test Skis," according to Ski Canada's editorial team. Big White's new Snow Ghost Express was featured on the cover, hailed as "Canada's Newest, Longest Six-Pack Express lift," and the hugely popular $5 Friday Night promotion was also cited by the magazine.
"These awards are truly a testament to the diversity of terrain and ski experience that we offer at Big White Ski Resort," commented Michael J. Ballingall, Senior Vice President. "There aren't many resorts in Canada where you can find great powder in the bowls, ski fabulous glades, and cruise immaculate corduroy, all in one day. Our motto has long been "It's the Snow," and these awards prove it!"
The annual Ski Canada Awards recognize the unique qualities of the Canadian ski experience. More than just statistics, the 'Best of Skiing in Canada' award categories are developed from the personal experiences of Ski Canada contributors and editorial personnel looking for the highest, the newest, the most excellent and, yes, even the funniest characteristics of Canada's ski resorts. The 'Best of Skiing in Canada' awards are a highlight of the season for readers and are 'most quoted' by ski areas.
