Golden Beaver Winery: Fun Name – FINE WINE! The question everyone asks… how did you come up with the unforgettable name? 'Golden' to honour the incredible terroir of 'The Golden Mile' where our Vineyard is and 'Beaver', Canada's National Animal, to reflect the technical skill and hard work that we put into each of our wines. We make lots of UNIQUE WINES, all from grapes that are hand harvested & hand sorted. Unoaked reds – Merlot, Pinot Noir and Pinot Noir Dry Rose’ - and a Non Meritage red wine blend, aged in Hungarian Oak called Goldie’s Passion. Our Specialty - Merlot Vin de Cure’ and Vidal Vin de Cure’ of which we are Canada’s only producers. Numerous white wines including Dry Vidal, Tokay, Unoaked Viognier, Unoaked Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Gewurztraminer! Also a white blend called Muscat Madness. You won’t regret coming in - our wine shop is small but cozy and well appointed. We have a lovely little picnic area where you can enjoy a lunch you bring or enjoy a small sampling of snacks available July - Oct along with a glass (or share a bottle) of our wine. We make most of our wine from grapes straight out of our 8-acre vineyard, we grow more grape varietals than most wineries and because of that the wines are all small lot. So if you like them you gotta get them right away, don’t be disappointed! There is only the two of us, and our teenage son, we do it all, with a little help from a part time summer wine shop person and occasional vineyard help. So a truly unique experience comes from visiting us, meet the owners and have a chat! No large tour buses please. Motor homes & small tour buses are welcome.
