Adams Lake
60 km (37 mi) east of Kamloops. Home to Kamloops Trout, Kokanee, Lake Char and Dolly Varden. Known for their large sizes. Trolling is great in spring and summer.
Alleyne Lake
In the Kentucky Alleyne Recreation southeast of Merritt. Deep, clear lake with sharp dropoffs. Produces well for Rainbow 2 kg (4.5 lbs).
Conkle Lake
West off Hwy 33 from Kelowna. Excellent family lake and good access to many other lakes in the area. Rainbow Trout up to 2 kg (4.5 lbs).
Dunn Lake
North on Dunn Lake Road at Barriere approx. 30 km. Troll for Rainbow, Lake Trout and Kokanee. Good summer fishing.
Idabel Lake
Approximately 38 km southeast of Kelowna. Good Rainbow and Brook Trout fishery with trout reaching up to 1+ kg (2+ lbs)
Johnson Lake
55 km (34 mi) from Hwy 5 just north of Louis Creek. Known for its clear, green coloured water. Troll or fly fish for Rainbow to 2 kg (4.5 lbs). Shrimp, dragonfly or caddisfly pattern.
Knouff (Sullivan) Lake
East of Kamloops off the Sun Peaks Road. Rainbow Trout from May to October by fly fishing or trolling. Potential for large fish. Sedge, mayfly, damselfly and chironomid hatches.
Lac Le Jeune
32 km (20 mi) from Kamloops. Rainbows on fly/troll to 1.5 kg (3 lbs). Mayfly hatch in late June/July. Flatfish and small spoons also produce. Boat rentals.
Logan Lake
One km from downtown Logan Lake. Rainbow Trout to 2 kg (4.5lbs). Good hatches of caddisflies, damselflies, chironomids and mayflies.
Loon Lake
29 km (18 mi) northeast of Winfield. Rainbow Trout up to 2 kg (4.5 lbs).
Mabel Lake
Access via Enderby or Lumby. Excellent reputation for large fish-Rainbow, Dolly Varden, Kokanee and Whitefish. Special fishery for Chinook Salmon.
Mara Lake
22 km (14 mi) north of Enderby on Hwy 97A. Good fishing for Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, Kokanee and Lake Trout.
Salmon Lake
Access from Douglas Lake Ranch Road off Hwy 5A or Hwy 97 near Westwold. Rainbow Trout average 1 kg (2-3 lbs). Troll or fly- fishing.
Tunkwa & Leighton Lakes
Access is north of Logan Lake. Highly productive lake full of nutrients ideal for chironomids, sedges, damselflies, mayflies, dragonflies, leeches,water boatman and shrimp. Spincast, troll or fly fishing.
Vidette Lake
Turn off Deadman-Vidette Road west of Savona and the Deadman River Bridge on Hwy 1.Wild rainbow and kokanee. Prolific hatches. Leech, shrimp, damselfly nymph and dragonfly patterns work well.
