Merritt Mountain Music Festival

Mountainfest, recently named Canadian Country Music Festival of the year, is the largest event of its kind in Canada. Every July this amazing six day outdoor event takes place in sunny, picturesque Merritt, BC. The beauty of the surrounding clay cliffs, the flowing Cold Water River and the softly rolling landscape is proudly home of the spectacular Merritt Mountain Music Festival. Over the last thirteen years this festival has grown into more than just great music - it's an annual event where people come to meet others, see new things, hear new sounds and lasting friendships are cultivated.

In 2002, at the 10th anniversary, the event was extended to six days and was host to over 125,000 patrons. In 2005 there were over 145,000 patrons. This event provides a spectacular outdoor recreational week of the best that country music has to offer together with a familiar family atmosphere for fun, friendly get-togethers. In fact it brings people back year after year.

The show grounds, surrounded by acres of camping areas, are host to a large beverage garden area complete with picnic tables, 2 serving areas, canvas shelters, overhead lighting, big screen TV’s and the Pumphouse performance stage. Multiple concessions and food courts, the Big Little Stage, the famous Mountainfest Main Stage, a logging show, a VIP area, General Stores, First Aid, Security and Administration buildings dot the show grounds.

Non-stop country music performances excite thousands of people from noon to midnight daily on three fabulous stages. Over the years Mountainfest has been host to the best of the best in country music. Great music has always been the hallmark of Mountainfest, but there’s more…a multitude of family activities, helicopter sightseeing, logger sport shows, nightly fireworks displays, food and merchandise concessions and so much more. All of these fantastic activities make Mountainfest a supernatural BC summer adventure.
