International Gateway Kelowna

International Gateway Kelowna offers practical and effective English as a Second Language (ESL) programs to international students and ‘new’ Canadians. 

Our trendy, downtown campus located in the Towne Centre Mall is within easy walking distance to beaches, bus transportation and all amenities. IGK guarantees small class sizes, personalized attention and a relaxed friendly, atmosphere in which to learn. IGK students originate from over 20 countries including Japan, the Czech Republic, Mexico, Taiwan, Korea, Italy, Germany, Latvia, Colombia, Switzerland, Colombia and Brazil.

Established in 2002, IGK is Kelowna’s original and most trusted ESL school.

General ESL programs begin weekly for Ages 12 and up with a choice of 15, 25 or 30 study hours per week. There are five levels of classes in the morning from Beginner to Advanced and an exciting selection of afternoon electives such as: Conversation, Media, Canadian Culture, Business English, TOEFL-iBT and TOEIC exam preparation.

IGK also offers Cambridge (PET, FCE, CAE and BEC Vantage) certificates and is an official Cambridge testing centre. High school preparation, placement and guardianship for Ages 10-18 are provided and private tutoring is available for all levels and ages.

Summer and Winter Action Camps include ESL + Activities, ESL+Soccer, ESL+Basketball, ESL+Golf, ESL+Ice Hockey Skills for Ages 8 to 65. Many of our camps are integrated with Canadians to maximize cross-cultural learning and understanding. IGK also arranges Group Study Programs, Farmstays, Internships, Senior Long-Stay Programs, Homestays and Homestays with a Teacher.

Job placement assistance and support for working holiday and work and study visa students is provided.
