Big White Ski Resort, awarded North America’s #1 Family Resort, is Canada's largest, totally ski-in ski-out resort village. With over 2,765 acres (1,147 hectares) of skiable terrain on 118 runs serviced by 16 lifts, you’ll be entertained at any level. Big White is home to Canada’s longest six-passenger express chairlift, 4 high-speed express quads and an 8 passenger express gondola boasting a lift capacity of 28,000 skiers per hour - which means no lift line-ups. At an average temperature of -6 C (21 F), Big White receives over 750 cm (24 feet) annually of the Okanagan’s finest ‘champagne’ powder. 

Skiers and boarders alike are invited to take advantage of the TELUS terrain park featuring a super pipe, a half pipe, boarder/skier cross rails, and a progressive terrain park; all serviced by a double chairlift. The TELUS terrain park is fully equipped with a state of the art sound system and is part of our 1,600 feet vertical night skiing area - the largest in the West.

Big White is famous for keeping you entertained on and off the slopes with options to suit every family member. If you’re not an alpine skier, try the thrill of the slopes in the comfort of a personal Snow Limo, guided by one of our trained professionals. You can also try tubing the Mega Snow Coaster, cross country skiing through the mountains, enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh ride, unwind at the spa or take the kids to carnival night. Big White is home to Canada’s largest outdoor alpine skating rink and operates snowmobiling and dog sled tours. To relax after a busy day, be sure to snuggle-up by the bonfire with a steaming cup of hot chocolate.

Big White is your winter family destination.  With room for over 17, 000 guests, Big White can accommodate everyone with a variety of lodging from standard hotels to private chalets fully equipped with gas fireplaces, and private outdoor hot tubs.  For added convenience, Big White’s main street is actually a ski run. Guests can ski to their doorstep or stroll through the village where shopping, spas, restaurants and après entertainment await to amaze.

Tubing

Jump in a tube and speed downhill on North America’s largest resort tubing park. Located in Happy Valley you’re just a short gondola ride from the Village Centre. With friends or by yourself, this exciting ride should not to be missed.

Weekly Calendar of Events

Big White has a wide range of weekly events including the "Taste of Big White", which provides guests a chance to sample all the resort has to offer, from fine cuisine to on hill activities like snowmobiling or ice skating. There are bonfire and hot chocolate nights, Bingo, fireworks, "Carnival Nights" for the kids full of great games, face painting, popcorn, cotton candy and amazing prizes. Another popular event is "Big White Idol" held every Wednesday evening or sit back and relax at one of our "Movie Nights". Whatever you choose to do, you will have a fantastic time at our world class resort. Big White has something for everyone.
