A Rovers Rest Bed & Breakfast

Our secluded log home near Shuswap Lake is a Romantic Hideaway for a Getaway. Located only 2 km North off the Trans-Canada Highway 1. We are 21 km west of Salmon Arm and 9 km east of Sorrento on Balmoral Road.

We opened A Rover's Rest Bed & Breakfast in 2001 as A Romantic Hideaway for a Getaway, in order to share our families history with others. The history is very diverse, from having a famous aviator as a Grandfather to the handcrafts on display from each Grandmother. Our home also is filled with many antiques from generations ago.

We offer three suites each with a unique decor. Each suite has a private entrance, en-suite bath, and provides many amenities that have awarded us a 4 star rating with Canada Select, the national rating system within Canada.

Our "Heart of the Home" suite offers a king bed, fireplace w/love seat, dinning area, and a Red Heart Shaped Jetted Tub. This suite has direct access to the large deck. Our "To the Point" room is decorated with needlepoint crafted by David's Grandmother and Mother. A semi-private garden is the entrance to this Queen bedroom with an antique vanity. The "From the Brush" suite can accommodate three guests with its double bed and a twin bed. A small couch and chair accent the china and oil paintings, much of which was created by Kimberly's Grandmother. Finally, there is the ?Sky Loft?, this space is only rented in conjunction with another suite. A double bed, rocker, chair, and writing table are available in this location. In total we can accommodate a group up to 10 persons, making this the perfect location for families and friends to meet and enjoy a holiday together in the Shuswap.

Our guests have access to a large comfortable lounge with fireplace, satellite TV, VCR & DVD. We provide a snack centre, video & book library, games, a large deck with BBQ's, 8-person outdoor hot tub, and a spacious yard. A different hearty breakfast is served in our sunroom each morning. A testament to our breakfasts can be found in the Arrington's Inn Traveler's magazines 2005 Book of Lists, as voted by our guests. Awarding A Rover's Rest Bed & Breakfast "Best Breakfast in Canada" as per inngoe'?s ballots submitted.

Our home is prefect for the wedding of your dreams. We have hosted strategic planning weekends, where much was accomplished in our setting.
